Decision of the Representatives of the Governments of the member States, meeting within the Council,

of 30 November 2006

adapting Decision 96/409/CFSP on the establishment of an emergency travel document, in order to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union

THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, MEETING WITHIN THE COUNCIL,

Whereas:

It is necessary to make certain adaptations to Decision 96/409/CFSP [1], in order to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union,

HAVE DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Decision 96/409/CFSP shall be amended as follows:

(a) the following shall be added to Annex I after "PR脥LOHA I":

"‘�袩袪袠袥袨袞袝袧袠袝 1 ‘�ANEXA I";

(b) the following shall be added to Annex I after "EUR脫PSKA 脷NIA":

", 袝袙袪袨袩袝袡小袣袠 小歇挟袟, UNIUNEA EUROPEAN膫";

(c) the following shall be added to Annex I after "CESTOVN脻 PREUKAZ":

(d) the following shall be added to Annex I after "脷DAJE":

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force subject to and on the date of entry into force of the Treaty concerning the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union.

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
