DEFINITIVE ADOPTION
of the European Union’s general budget for the financial year2014
(2014/67/EU, Euratom)
THE PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article314 thereof,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community, and in particular Article106a thereof,
Having regard to Council Decision2007/436/EC, Euratom of 7June2007 on the system of the European Communities’ own resources (1),
Having regard to Regulation (EU, Euratom) No966/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25October2012 on the financial
rules applicable to the general budget of the Union and repealing Council Regulation (EC, Euratom) No1605/2002 (2),
Having regard to the Interinstitutional Agreement of 17May2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on bud
getary discipline and sound financial management (3),
Having regard to the Interinstitutional Agreement of 2December2013 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on
budgetary discipline, on cooperation in budgetary matters and on sound financial management (4),
Having regard to Council Regulation (EU, Euratom) No1311/2013 of 2December2013 laying down the multiannual financial framework for
the years 2014-2020 (5),
Having regard to the draft general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2014, which the Commission presented on 28June2013,
Having regard to the position on the draft budget of the European Union adopted by the Council on 2September2013 and forwarded to Par
liament on 12September2013,
Having regard to Letters of Amendment No1/2014 and No2/2014 to the draft general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2014
presented by the Commission on 18September2013 and 16October2013 respectively,
Having regard to the resolution adopted by Parliament on 23October2013 on the draft general budget of the European Union for the financial
year2014, as modified by the Council,
Having regard to the amendments adopted by Parliament on 23October2013 to the draft general budget,
Having regard to the President’s letter of 23October2013 convening, in agreement with the President of the Council, a meeting of the Concili
ation Committee on 4November2013,

Having regard to the letter sent by the President of the Council on 23October2013 informing that the Council may not approve all the amend
ments adopted by Parliament,
Having regard to the fact that the Conciliation Committee agreed on a joint text within the 21 days referred to in Article314(6) of Treaty on the
Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to the approval of the joint text by the Council on 19November2013,
Having regard to Parliament’s approval of the joint text on 20November2013,
Having regard to Rules 75b, 75d and75e of Parliament’s Rules of Procedure,
DECLARES:
Sole Article
The procedure under Article314 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union is complete and the European Union’s general budget
for the financial year 2014 has been definitively adopted.
