THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 286(2) thereof,

Having regard to the opinions of the European Parliament [1],

Whereas:

(1) The terms of office of Mr Jan KIN?T, Ms Kersti KALJULAID, Mr Igors LUDBOR?S, Ms Irena PETRU?KEVI?IEN?, Mr Gejza HAL?SZ, Mr Josef BONNICI, Mr Jacek UCZKIEWICZ, Mr Vojko Anton ANTON?I? and Mr Július MOLN?R expire on 6 May 2010.

(2) New appointments should therefore be made,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
