A. KINGDOM OF DENMARK

I. Legislation and schemes referred to in Article 4 (1) and (2) of the Regulation

1. DENMARK WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GREENLAND

(a) Sickness and maternity benefits: - Law No 311 of 9 June 1971 on the public health service (lov om offentlig sygesikring), as subsequently amended,

- Law No 260 of 7 June 1972 on daily allowances in cases of sickness and childbirth (lov om dagpenge ved sygdom og f酶dsel), as subsequently amended,

- Law No 237 of 14 June 1969 on hospital services (lov om sygehusvassen), as subsequently amended,

- Law No 282 of 7 June 1972 on pregnancy hygiene and aid in childbirth (lov om svangerskabshygiejne og f酶dselshjaelp), as subsequently amended;

(b) Invalidity benefits, including those intended for the maintenance or improvement of earning capacity: - Law No 156 of 15 April 1970 on validity pensions (lovbekendtg酶relse om invalidepension), as subsequently amended,

- Law No 170 of 29 April 1960 on rehabilitation (lov om revalidering), as subsequently amended but excepting Article 7;

(c) Old-age benefits: - Law No 155 of 15 April 1970 on old-age pensions (lovbekendtg酶relse om folkepension), as subsequently amended, (1)OJ No L 149, 5.7.1971, p. 2.

Law No 251 of 6 June 1967 on supplementary pensions for employed persons (lovbekendtg酶relse om arbejdsmarkedets tillaegspension), as subsequently amended;

(d) Survivors' benefits: - Law No 157 of 15 April 1970 on pensions and aid to widows etc (lovbekendtg酶relse om pension og hjaelp til enker m.fl.), as subsequently amended, but excepting Chapter II;

(e) Benefits in respect of accidents at work and occupational diseases: - Law No 137 of 26 April 1968 on accident insurance (lovbekendtg酶relse om ulykkesforsikring), as subsequently amended;

(f) Death grants: - Law No 311 of 9 June 1971 on the public health service, as subsequently amended,

- Law No 137 of 26 April 1968 on accident insurance, as subsequently amended;

(g) Unemployment benefits: - Law (lovbekendtg酶relse) No 314 of 22 June 1971, as subsequently amended,

(h) Family benefits: - Law No 388 of 8 July 1969 on family allowances and other family benefits (lovbekendtg酶relse om b酶rnetilskud og andre familieydelser), as subsequently amended.

2. GREENLAND

(a) Sickness and maternity benefits: - Act of 29 October 1960 on charges for hospitalisation, medical care etc, for the Greenland Health Service (bekendtg酶relse om takster for sygehusophold, laegebehandling m.v. for sundhedsvaesenet i Gr酶nland), as subsequently amended;

(c) Old-age benefits: - Regulation of the Regional Council of 2 October 1967, ratified on 21 December 1967, on old-age pensions in Greenland (landsradsvedtaegt om aldersrente i Gr酶nland), as subsequently amended;

(e) Benefits in respect of accidents at work and occupational diseases: - Regulation for Greenland of 2 February 1962 on insurance against the after-effects of accidents (anordning for Gr酶nland om forsikring mod f酶lger af ulykkestilfaelde), as subsequently amended;

(f) Death grants: - Regulation for Greenland of 2 February 1962 on insurance against the after-effects of accidents, as subsequently amended;

(h) Family benefits: - Law No 49 of 25 February 1964 on family allowances in Greenland, as subsequently amended.

II. Minimum benefits referred to in Article 50 of the Regulation

III. Benefits referred to in Article 77 of the Regulation

1. DENMARK WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GREENLAND - Law No 388 of 8 July 1969 on family allowances and other family benefits, as subsequently amended;

2. GREENLAND - Law No 49 of 25 February 1964 on family allowances in Greenland, as subsequently amended.

IV. Benefits referred to in Article 78 of the Regulation

1. DENMARK WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GREENLAND - Law No 388 of 8 July 1969 on family allowances and other family benefits, as subsequently amended;

2. GREENLAND - Law No 49 of 25 February 1964 on family allowances in Greenland, as subsequently amended.

B. IRELAND

1. Legislation and schemes referred to in Article 4 (1) and (2) of the Regulation

(a) Sickness and Maternity Benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Disability Benefit, Maternity Benefit and Treatment Benefit;

the provisions of the Health Acts 1947 to 1970 and of the regulations made thereunder.

(b) Invalidity Benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Invalidity Pension.

(c) Old-age Benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Old-Age (Contributory) Pension and Retirement Pension.

(d) Survivors' Benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the Regulations made thereunder, relating to Widow's (Contributory) Pension and Orphan's (Contributory) Allowance.

(e) Benefits in respect of Accidents at Work and Occupational Diseases:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Occupational Injuries Benefit.

the provisions of the Health Acts 1947 to 1970 and of the regulations made thereunder.

(f) Death Grants:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Death Grants.

(g) Unemployment Benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and of the regulations made thereunder, relating to Unemployment Benefit.

(h) Family benefits:

the provisions of the Social Welfare (Children's Allowances) Acts 1944 to 1970 and thereunder.

The Regulation shall apply to the above legislation from and including 1 April 1973.

2. Minimum benefits referred to in Article 50 of the Regulation:

the minimum Invalidity Pension, Retirement Pension, Old Age (Contributory) Pension and Widow's (Contributory) Pension provided for by the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972 and by the regulations made thereunder.

3. Benefits referred to in Article 77 of the Regulation:

Children's Allowances under the Social Welfare (Children's Allowances) Acts 1944 to 1970 payable to persons in receipt of Retirement Pension, Old-Age (Contributory) Pension, Invalidity Pension, Disablement Pension, or pension by way of Death Benefit under the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972, and increases of Retirement Pension, of Old-Age (Contributory) Pension and of Invalidity Pension in respect of qualified children under the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972.

4. Benefits referred to in Article 78 of the Regulation:

Children's Allowances under the Social Welfare (Children's Allowances) Acts 1944 to 1970 payable in respect of orphans or in respect of children for whom increases of Widow's (Contributory) Pension are payable under the Social Welfare Acts 1952 to 1972, and Orphan's (Contributory) Allowance and increases of Widow's (Contributory) Pension payable in respect of children qualified under the latter Acts.

C. UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND

I. Legislation (a) and schemes referred to in Article 4 (1) and (2) of the Regulation

1. National Insurance Act 1965 (b) of 5 August 1965 and amending legislation;

National Insurance Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 (b) of 24 March 1966 and amending legislation;

relating to sickness, maternity, old age, survivors' benefits, death grants and unemployment benefits.

2. National Health Service Act 1946 of 6 November 1946 and amending legislation;

National Health Service Act (Scotland) 1947 of 21 May 1947 as subsequently amended, and the National Health Service Act (Scotland) 1972 of 9 August 1972;

Health Services Act (Northern Ireland) 1971 of 16 February 1971;

relating to the provision of benefits in kind (health care).

3. National Insurance (Old Persons' and Widows' Pensions and Attendance Allowance) Act 1970 of 23 July 1970 and amending legislation;

National Insurance (Old Persons' and Widows' Pensions and Attendance Allowance) Act (Northern Ireland) 1970 of 3 November 1970 and amending legislation;

relating to old-age and survivors' benefits and attendance allowance.

4. National Insurance Act 1971 of 14 July 1971 and amending legislation; (a) This includes subordinate legislation made under the listed Acts and Ordinances. (b)These Acts consolidated legislation from 1946 onwards. The National Insurance Acts also carry over certain pension rights acquired under earlier legislation.

Social Services (Parity) Order (Northern Ireland) 1971 of 16 July 1971 and amending legislation;

relating to invalidity benefits.

5. National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1965 (b) of 5 August 1965 and amending legislation;

National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 (b) of 24 March 1966 and amending legislation;

Industrial Injuries and Diseases (Old Cases) Act 1967 of 12 June 1967 and amending legislation;

Workmen's Compensation (Supplementation) Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 of 10 May 1966 and amending legislation;

relating to benefits in respect of accidents at work and occupational diseases, including survivors' benefits.

6. Family Allowances Act 1965 (c) of 5 August 1965 and amending legislation;

Family Allowances Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 (c) of 24 March 1966 and amending legislation;

relating to family benefits.

7. Gibraltar (i) Social Insurance Ordinance of 15 July 1955 and amending legislation;

relating to maternity grants, old age and survivors' benefits and death grants.

(ii) Non-contributory Social Insurance Benefit and Unemployment Insurance Ordinance of 3 October 1955 and amending legislation;

relating to old age, survivors' and unemployment benefits and guardian's allowance.

(iii) Employment Injuries Insurance Ordinance of 7 July 1952 and amending legislation;

relating to benefits in respect of accidents at work and occupational diseases, including survivors' benefits.

(iv) Family Allowances Ordinance of 5 June 1959 and amending legislation;

relating to family benefits.

II. Minimum benefits referred to in Article 50 of the Regulation

The rates of flat-rate old-age pension and survivors' benefits depend upon the yearly average of contributions paid or credited throughout the insurance life and these rates are laid down in Regulations made under the legislation referred to at (1) and (7) (i) above.

III. Benefits referred to in Articles 77 and 78 of the Regulation

(i) GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND

Family allowances ; child dependency allowances paid to pensioners ; guardian's allowance ; child's special allowance.

(ii) GIBRALTAR

Family allowances ; child dependency allowances paid to pensioners ; guardian's allowance.
