DECISION No 2/2015 OF THE EU-EFTA JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE SIMPLIFICATION OF FORMALITIES IN TRADE IN GOODS
of 13 October 2015
as regards invitation to the Republic of Serbia to accede to the Convention of 20 May 1987 on the simplification of formalities in trade in goods [2015/2465]
THE EU-EFTA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Convention of 20 May 1987 on the simplification of formalities in trade in goods (1) (‘the Convention’), and in particular Article 11(3) thereof,
Whereas:
| (1) | The exchange of goods with the Republic of Serbia would be facilitated by a simplification of formalities which affect the trade in goods between the Republic of Serbia and the European Union, the Republic of Iceland, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Kingdom of Norway, the Swiss Confederation and the Republic of Turkey. |
| (2) | With a view to achieving such facilitation, it is appropriate to invite the Republic of Serbia to accede to the Convention, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
In accordance with Article 11a of the Convention, the Republic of Serbia shall be invited to accede to the Convention as from 1 December 2015.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
Done in Ankara, 13 October 2015.
