Council Decision of 29 April 2004 adjusting the basic salaries and allowances applicable to Europol staff(2004/C 114/04)

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Having regard to the Council Act of 3 December 1998 laying down the Staff Regulations applicable to Europol employees(1), (hereinafter referred to as 'Staff Regulations'), and in particular Article 44 thereof,

Having regard to the initiative of Ireland(2),

Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament(3),

Having regard to the review of remuneration of officials of Europol by the Management Board of Europol,

Whereas:

(1) In the aforementioned review the Management Board took account of the changes in the cost of living in the Netherlands, as well as of the changes in salaries in the public service in the Member States.

(2) The Council Decision of 5 June 2003 (4) adjusting the remuneration of officials as from 1 July 2002 was unable to take correct account of the trend in the net remuneration of French civil servants and a correction of the trend in the changes in the cost of living in the Netherlands.

(3) The said review justifies an increase of 0,9 % of remuneration for the period between 1 July 2001 and 1 July 2002 .

(4) It is for the Council, acting unanimously, to adjust the basic salaries and allowances of officials of Europol, on the basis of the review,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The Staff Regulations are hereby amended as follows:

With effect from 1 July 2002 :

(a) in Article 45 the table of basic monthly salaries shall be replaced by the following:

(b) in Article 59(3), the amount 'EUR 948,37' shall be replaced by 'EUR 956,91';

(c) in Article 59(3), the amount 芦EUR 1896,74禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 1913,81禄 ;

(d) in Article 60(1), the amount 芦EUR 252,90禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 255,18禄 ;

(e) in Article 2(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 264,39禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 266,77禄 ;

(f) in Article 3(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 11495,40禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 11598,86禄 ;

(g) in Article 3(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 2586,47禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 2609,75禄 ;

(h) in Article 3(2) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 15518,79禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 15658,46禄 ;

(i) in Article 4(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 1149,54禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 1159,89禄 ;

(j) in Article 4(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 862,17禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 869,93禄 ;

(k) in Article 4(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 574,76禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 579,93禄 ;

(l) in Article 4(1) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 459,81禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 463,95禄 ;

(m) in Article 5(3) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦禄 EUR1622,23' shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 1636,83禄 ;

(n) in Article 5(3) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 2162,98禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 2182,45禄 ;

(o) in Article 5(3) of Appendix 5, the amount 芦EUR 2703,72禄 shall be replaced by: 芦EUR 2728,05禄 .

Article 2

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Article 3

This Decision shall take effect on the day following its adoption.
